Life Drawing

Been listening to alot of Fall Out Boy recently. Probably my favourite song from them, also i prefer the acoustic version.

Bulletproof loneliness, at best.

Me and you, setting in a honeymoon. if I woke up next to you.

Caux Collective Recommends: Zoran Lucić

Despite all of the writing I do, about other people’s work, it’s still not very often that I get to feature work that combines two of my greatest loves in life; Art and Football, but with Bosnian Artist & Illustrator Zoran Lucić, I am delighted that is exactly the case.

In his project, ‘Sucker For Soccer’ Lucić honed his skills in Graphic Design, Illustration and Typography to create a vast series of stunning posters featuring legends from the game, both past and present, which are sure to cover most of your favourite players, including Pele, Zico, Maradona, Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry, Gerd Müller, Zinedine Zidane and many, many more.

Whilst Football may not be the chosen pass time of many of you art fans - as I said it’s not often enough that art and football are combined, in my opinion - I’m sure you can still appreciate these wonderful pieces for the design prowess they exhibit, if not for the subjects they promote. With all the precision and perfection of modern, digital design, with perfectly executed text and brilliantly illustrated subjects, as well as the charm of past eras of design, with distressed edges and a worn-look that is reminiscent of the football trading cards from years gone by, these posters are definitely something very special.

If you’d like to see more from Lucić, go ahead and visit the link above, where you can see Art Store, Sergeant Paper speak about his work, or visit his Behance profile, where you can view many more of his fantastic projects.

We hope you enjoyed this post. If there are any Artists you’d like us to write about, or you’d like to give us your opinion on any issues we’ve raised in this post, contact us on our Twitter, email us on cauxcollective@live.co.uk or message us here on our Tumblr page.
